The Record
Lounge

Music. Art. Personality. On repeat.

The Record Lounge room redesign in Rochester New York

THE BRIEF

A small room.
A very big soundtrack.

This Rochester room redesign was built around the person who actually lives here: a serious music lover with a collection worth seeing, not hiding. The room needed to work as a listening space, lounge, record library and entertaining spot without feeling crowded or overly themed.

Vinyl storage and the turntable setup anchor one wall while expressive art, vintage-inspired pieces, teal seating, mustard accents and warm wood give the room its personality. A dedicated bar turns another wall into a functional moment instead of leftover space.

The result: collected, comfortable and personal. A room with rhythm that still knows how to behave.

“The best rooms don't just hold your things. They tell people what you're into before you say a word.”

THE DIAGNOSIS

Too many jobs. One room.

The space needed to handle listening, lounging, record storage and entertaining while still feeling intentional rather than packed.

THE PRESCRIPTION

Give every obsession a home.

Vinyl became part of the design, statement art supplied the attitude, and teal, mustard, black and warm wood connected the room visually.

THE PROGNOSIS

Turn it over. Stay awhile.

A personal music room that feels collected, functional and ready for another record and another drink.
